This is Dana with my son, Eric. Thank you so much for visiting my page. As many of you know, I’ve recently encountered a significant challenge. In October, I was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma in my right kidney. I have two tumors, which unfortunately means my entire kidney will need to be removed. My surgery is scheduled for November 27, the day before Thanksgiving.

After my surgery, I’ll be out of work for about two months, which is why I’m reaching out to my community. Usually, I juggle two jobs to make ends meet, but with this time off, I’m concerned that I will be unable to cover all my bills. My rent recently increased, and I don’t have enough vacation or sick time to cover the full eight weeks I’ll be off. My short-term disability will help but will only provide a portion of my income.

Asking for help isn't easy for me. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but this time, I need a little extra support.
